My First Kanzashi Flower

Here it is! My first kanzashi flower! It may look dainty but its about 4-1/2" across. This is the pointed petal design. I actually wanted the opposite side to be the top, but it didn't sit flat that way. It still worked out great though. Sewing all the petals onto the string is the easy part, but it took some patience and finagalling (yes, that is a technical term) to form the petals into a circle. I returned the book yesterday so let's hope all the information sticks with me.

SOOO pretty! You're making me jealous! :) I hope you find a way to incorporate those into your clutches! can you do really little ones? Or is it too much bulk?

I'm going to (slowly) start making smaller ones. As you can imagine they get harder to make as they get smaller. I'd really love to make them into magnets, put them on those elastic headbands, brooches, hair clips, if I can make them small enough - rings. All sorts of fun stuff.
